American Primeval: " American Primeval Myflixer " has the ambition and ability to live up to its claim of portraying a cross-section of life on the frontier, in this case, the most hostile Utah in film history. It is based on actual events in 1857, when white settlers, religious zealots, and Indigenous tribes fought, often among themselves, always against each other, for territorial supremacy. The series begins where the railroad ends: Sara Rowell and her child arrive at the outpost of the practical Mr. Bridger, who welcomes visitors with a hanging body at the high entrance gate. As always, Shea Whigham portrays Mr. Bridger with confidence. Her train is three weeks late, and her guide has left without her, heading further into the wilderness where Sara wants to meet her spouse in a far-off place. After the recluse Isaac, who was proposed as her successor, rejects her, she joins a group of Mormons who, if they survive the journey, hope to have found a new home in an enclave ...
